Syahi - Rules & Regulations

Kindly take the time to thoroughly read the rules and regulations for Syahi 2026 before submitting your entries. Failure to adhere to these guidelines will result in immediate disqualification from the contest.

Rules & Regulations

Below are the rules and regulations. Please read them carefully.

The contest is open for HDFC Bank Employees & Sales officers.

Submission Categories:

  1. Fiction Thriller- Crime/ Suspense

  2. Fiction - Horror/ Paranormal

  3. Fiction - Drama/ Romance

  4. Non-Fiction –. Pages I Wish I Could Rewrite

  5. Non-Fiction – From Strangers to Companions

  6. Poem – Open category

 

Restrictions:

• Word limit:

o Story - Min - 1200 words | Max - 1500 words

o Poem - No restriction on words

• Language: English / Hindi

• No. of entries: Each participant can submit one story per category & One poem

Employees are free to participate in both genres (Story/Poem)

 

Points to remember for participants while writing the stories:

• Adherence to the word limit is a must. 10% relaxation will be given; however incase the story is

less than 1080 words or more than 1650 words, the entries will be disqualified.

• Characters and Setting – Characters & personalities should follow the ‘showing, not telling’.

• Use of language – creativity in expression

• Maintaining chronology

• Attention to storyline

• Participants should also pay attention to the uniqueness of their perspective, originality of

their work, ideas, and concepts, grammar, uniqueness of their writing style, creativity,

descriptive language, and diction.

• Participants are required to submit original work & any form of plagiarism or content

created with the assistance of AI tools will result in immediate disqualification from the

competition. Ensure to maintain the integrity of the competition.

 

Submission of Story or Poem.

The Employee Connect team will share a separate link with the employees where they can submit their story & poem.
